It’s not the most cheerful thing ever, but it is a fascinating application of digital tools and databases. A new service spearheaded by Henry Louis Gates, using large name databases, enables people to trace their roots through the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. You can access the service directly through Emory Libraries’ Center for Digital Scholarship.


Promote Digital Equity: American Library Association is hosting a FREE webinar on March 22, 11 a.m to 12 p.m. Pacific to address the “digital divide,” with tips to ensure that all community members can have access to things like coding workshops and 3D printers.
