It’s not the most cheerful thing ever, but it is a fascinating application of digital tools and databases. A new service spearheaded by Henry Louis Gates, using large name databases, enables people to trace their roots through the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. You can access the service directly through Emory Libraries’ Center for Digital Scholarship.
