The second installment of the Software Preservation Webinar Series, Episode 2: Software Collection Development, is now available for viewing online, thanks to the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) and the Software Preservation Network (SPN). This episode reviews existing software collections and the users of those collections, exploring how collection development policies and strategies for existing collections impact community goals of sharing and reuse.

May 17th is Global Accessibility Awareness Day! Although it is not exclusively a library event, libraries around the world should consider participating. With an aim toward “design, development, usability, and related communities who build, shape, fund and influence technology and its use”, the event tries to raise awareness and get people thinking and talking about digital accessibility. Curious about what web accessibility is? Check out the W3 Web Accessibility Initiative for more information.
