Each week, we reflect on the top articles, blog posts, tweets, news, thoughts, and other tidbits we’ve found interesting or useful. Check out what our writers have spotted this week in library news. Enjoy!

If you’re interested in youth services, you still have time to apply for the Association for Library Services to Children (ALSC) Mentoring Program. Applications will be accepted until September 1, and you don’t have to be a member of ALA or ALSC to apply. Accepted participants will have the opportunity to work with a mentor who has experience in the field for a period of one year.
