Meanwhile at the US Copyright Office, motions are being made to change Section 108 of the Copyright Act. The section in question pertains directly to the ability of libraries and archives to make copies of materials for preservation, security, or research. The ALA, SAA and Library Copyright Alliance aren’t happy about it.
