As a Baltimoreon, I couldn’t be happier about this announcement. Carla Hayden, the CEO of Baltimore’s Enoch Pratt Free Library system, has been confirmed by the Senate to become the 14th Librarian of Congress. And the first woman and the first African-American. Congratulations, Carla!
