Each week, we reflect on the top articles, blog posts, tweets, news, thoughts, and other tidbits we’ve found interesting or useful. Enjoy!
Just a reminder that the deadline to apply to be a writer for HLS is January 31. We look forward to hearing from you!
I’m in the middle of job searching and have been reading a lot of articles to help me think through cover letters. I found this amazing article over at Public Libraries about how Canadian libraries think about community engagement. Also, privacy tools developed by libraries in California. And then there’s the newest issue of Illinois Library Association which talks all about architecture in libraries (super interesting). Finally, libraries and broadband adoption.
Our month long collaboration with ACRLog ended today. We (Sarah and I) wanted to thank all of those who contributed to everything and made it so wonderful.
We’d also like to thank all of the guest bloggers that wrote for both venues. We so appreciate the time you took to make us think. Thanks, too, to all of our regular ACRL and HLS bloggers. This collaboration was possible because of their willingness to interrupt the regular blogging schedule and, for many, write over the holidays.
Thank YOU for reading, commenting, engaging, pushing back, and encouraging our writers. This collaboration wouldn’t have been a success without our many readers.
Thanks to Sarah Crissinger from ACRLog for helping me put this all together, and dealing with my Type C personality, and all of the help in rounding people up and encouraging everyone (including me).
